Emergency call

Emergency call

Here's a brief guide on how to use an emergency call with your eSIM turned off:

  1. Check Network Availability: Ensure that your device has access to a mobile network or Wi-Fi. Emergency calls can be made even with eSIM turned off, but network connectivity is necessary.
  2. Unlock Your Device: If your device is locked with a password, PIN, or any other security method, unlock it.
  3. Select Emergency Call: Most modern smartphones and tablets have an option to make emergency calls regardless of whether eSIM is activated. On the device's home screen, you'll typically find a "Phone" or "Dialer" icon. Tap on it.
  4. Dial the Emergency Number: In the number input field, enter the appropriate emergency service number. For example, in most countries, the emergency services number is 112. In some countries, separate numbers are used for rescue, fire, and police services. Ensure that you enter the correct number.
  5. Press the Green Call Button: After entering the number, press the call button (usually it's green). Your device will attempt to establish a connection with the emergency service.
  6. Speak Clearly and Calmly: When the connection is established, speak clearly and calmly to the emergency service dispatcher. Describe the situation and provide your location.
  7. Follow Instructions: Follow the instructions given by the emergency service dispatcher and adhere to their recommendations.

Ensure that your device is connected to a charger or has sufficient battery life to maintain a stable connection during the emergency call. Emergency calls should be processed regardless of whether your eSIM is active or not.
